strange bungalow

i named this blog after a postcard i desperately tried to win on ebay from 1909 featuring a black family living inside a gigantic watermelon. the card was entitled "strange bungalow". i can't get it out of my head for a myriad of reasons. i decided to use it as the namesake for my musings about art/architecture and all the social issues that go along with creative work in the public realm.
