activist arch+chicago freedom school?

wow. this is totally ridiculous. this long and not posting. i don't really have a great excuse besides being totally consumed by life and barely able to process it as its coming at me! i've been balancing the intensity of my job, with my internal wrestling match over how to survive from a fiscal standpoint but also not lose my practical and theoretical architectural dreams. one thing i've just decided, and i'm not sure how i'm going to do this with my "9-5" but, i'm going to apply to teach a class through the chicago freedom school this summer. i'm going to base it on my 'activist architecture' thesis and make it a hands-on work shop on where architecture and activism intersect and action based research on how to make it work! we'll see what comes of it.

Sounds like you have some busy life. I don't doubt it. But you should hang in there. I've always admired the direction you pointed your architecture, it's been inspirational. Doing what you do creates rewards beyond your capacity to anticipate. I'm pulling for you.
